Hannah Katznelson

Job title:
Graduate Student Representative
Bio/CV:

Hannah works on epic and heroic narrative in sixteenth-century France and England. She is interested in early modern heroic identity, patriarchy, political theory, humanism, theories of historicity, and the reception of the classical past. She is particularly interested in how these intersect with more narrowly literary topics, such as exemplarity, allegory, genre theory, and the hermeneutics of the emblem. Her dissertation works through the relationship between the development of divine-right monarchy and modern notions of fictionality. She has a B.A. in Literature from Yale University.
